Topas Supports Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation Race
Next month around 70+ members of the Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation run club will be supported to race Vietnam Trail Marathon. On 17/4 many of these kids had a chance to practice under race conditions at the charity’s own run event, with the children not only showing great strength, but also teamwork and care for one another.

The air was brimming with excitement at the start lines.
There were four races of 3, 5, 7 and 10 km distances, with a total of 58 runners on the trails!
With exciting prizes provided by our friends at Topas Travel Vietnam Trali Series, Lecka and the Running Club’s coach Quang Nguyễn, the kids were over the moon when they placed on the podiums.
Some older children from remote provinces studying in Hanoi really loved having the opportunity to bond with other kids.

Sinh* dropped out of school two years ago, and is behind his peers. However, he is catching up on his studies at Blue Dragon’s Learning Centre, and soon enough he will be able to return to the classroom.
Aside from being a hard-working student, Sinh is also very caring. Towards the end of the 3 km race, the youngest runner, 7 year-old Bac fell down. Sinh was well in the lead, but turned back to help Bac dry his tears, get up and finish the race.
Activities are a crucial part of letting kids find their passion, and the Running Club is one of the many ways that happens.
Sometimes, children just need a little push and they can not only find their feet, they can be a leading example for other children just like them.
