Topas Ecolodge is situated on a beautiful hilltop overlooking valleys, rice paddies and mountains not far from the northern Vietnamese hill town of Sapa. The Ecolodge was built in 2005 with funding from a Danish foreign aid programme. Sustainability and community development are at the heart of the lodge, which trains and employs staff from local minority groups and has systems in place to protect the local environment.
The rustic style bungalows are built from local white granite designed to blend harmoniously with the surrounding architecture and landscape. Each bungalow offers a private balcony affording stunning views of the majestic peaks and valleys carpeted with rice terraces.
The area is home to numerous colourful ethnic minority villages and makes the ideal place for trekking, mountain biking and discovering Vietnam’s ethnic minority culture.
As well as adventure and action, Topas Ecolodge is a relaxation retreat. Wifi is only available in the main restaurant and lounge area, giving you the perfect excuse to disconnect from technology and immerse in nature. At our hilltop spa, you can soak in herbal baths or enjoy a rejuvenating massage looking out over the valley. The newly opened infinity pool commands striking views of the landscape and is perfect for swimming or relaxing on a poolside lounger with the soundtrack of nature and a drink from the pool bar.
